❖ Easy, because the kids never were and never should be the most important in a family in the first place.

- According to Christ and His Church what are the only acceptable reasons for separation in marriage?❖ Infidelity

❖ Divorce is a grave offense against the natural law. It claims to break the contract, to which the spouses freely consented, to live with each other till death. Divorce does injury to the covenant of salvation, of which sacramental marriage is the sign. Contracting a new union, even if it is recognized by civil law, adds to the gravity of the rupture: the remarried spouse is then in a situation of public and permanent adultery:❖ If a husband, separated from his wife, approaches another woman, he is an adulterer because he makes that woman commit adultery, and the woman who lives with him is an adulteress, because she has drawn another’s husband to herself.
❖ 2385 Divorce is immoral also because it introduces disorder into the family and into society. This disorder brings grave harm to the deserted spouse, to children traumatized by the separation of their parents and often torn between them, and because of its contagious effect which makes it truly a plague on society.

Top Reasons Children Will Not Survive Divorce
1. There is a very high chance that they will become divorced as well
2. During holidays having to go to separate houses
3. Being thrust into step kids status by their parents new hubby
4. Being made to choose between who they want to live with
5. Being emotionally and psychologically damaged for life
6. (START PART 2) The parents stop disciplining the children properly trying to be their friend
7. The kids are at the daycare longer and more often because the mother has to work a lot more
8. The children feel unloved and neglected
9. The wife will begin to encourage the children to gang up on the big mean father
10. The kids will never get to see their father because of an unfair visitation schedule
11. The children no matter how old they become never get over the separation and destruction of their family
12. The kids see the arguing and fighting between their parents who refuse to take the disagreement outside and away from the kids.
13. Bonus: The kids act out in school and at home and in society! It’s because of the situation of the divorce.
Bringing It All Together
• Divorce is pure selfishness!
• No one in this country believes in divorce until they want one.
- Then it’s all-out war.
- The couple even lies to themselves and says they want to do this civil.
- But it usually never happens that way because if they can’t communicate and get along during the marriage...
- What makes them think they can get along during the divorce?
- There are too many hurt feelings and resentments.
- The couple in the end only cares about their wants and desires.
- And big daddy government is no better.
- The government just wants them out of the court room and out of the system.
- They take their money and split up the assets, damage the kids and shuffle them away to their miserable lives.
- The couple then believes they can just find another so-called love of their life to replace the spouse they put up with for all of those years.
- But the problem with that theory is that things will not be any different
- because the crappy spouse left and will still be crappy with their new hubby.
- And in all of the chaos and confusion, who gets hurt the worst, gets treated like a tennis ball at a tennis net?
- The children who didn’t ask for this, don’t want it, and just want a mommy and daddy in the same house going to Church and loving them!
