Every man knows instinctively that he is responsible for his house, his marriage and his family.

But ignores this call in lieu of pleasure seeking and not wanting to put in the work to make it great!

And for the record I am not on the side of women or men, I am on the side of God and marriage.

And I just happened to have figured out that we men are the leaders and so through duty and honor are called to be the protectors of our homes and the defenders from Satan!

How great a job is that!!!

These are the top 4 major causes of bad marriages and usually a marriage has all of them...

• ❖  One – the husband is not engaging in prayer and spiritual warfare for his wife, marriage, and family.
  • ➢  More importantly partaking in the sacraments of the Catholic Church
  • ➢  Going to Mass every Sunday, confession, adoration, taking the Eucharist etc.
  • ➢  Men we just don’t understand the supernatural world...
  • ➢  We think we are the cause when things go good, but God or someone else is

    the cause when things go bad.

  • ➢  If we as husbands don’t fight the demonic daily in our marriage and

    home...Who will?

  • ➢  When we don’t pray, go to mass, worship God as He asks, we are telling Him

    that we don’t need Him and we have it all together!

  • ➢  I found in my life, and in hundreds of marriages that this attitude is prevalent

    and allows the demonic in our home.

  • ➢  We need God, He knows it, the angles know it, but more importantly the

    demons know it and do all they can to fool you into thinking you don’t!

• ❖  Two – Horrible communication – the husband does not understand how to speak and communicate properly with his wife.

  ➢ If a man can’t learn to speak to his wife properly he will lose her.
  ➢ The emotional connect will leave...
  ➢ And he will lose his wife and family.

  • ➢  Think about it...
  • ➢  Communication is how your wife fell in love with you.
  • ➢  You listened to her every word, she listened to you.
  • ➢  Now, you raise your voice, speak to her in a way that hurts her feelings,

    maybe even call her names.

  • ➢  When you were courting, you would have never done that in a million years.
  • ➢  But see, we men get to dang comfortable with our wives as though they are

    business partners and have a job to do to keep the business going.

  • ➢  And women won’t put up with that forever.
  • ➢  They signed up for your loving touch, your caring actions, a feeling of

    security, trust and devotion.

  • ➢  They signed up for your love, not to be your business partner.

  • ❖  Three – The husband does not understand Authentic Masculinity as Our Lord Jesus Christ showed on the cross...which pushes his wife away, instead of drawing her to him!
    • ➢  Men for the most part don’t understand how to be men today.
    • ➢  We lack purpose and a mission.
    • ➢  And this causes our relationship with our wives to always be on the bubble.
    • ➢  Our uncertainty and confidence as men, causes women to lose their purpose

      and understanding what a true woman is.

    • ➢  We see it everyday with the confusion on our sexual and male, and female

      identities.

    • ➢  Being True Man as Christ was is the only way to get peace in your

      relationship with your wife.

    • ➢  At first she will be upset and rebel...
    • ➢  But once she understands that you are not doing it for yourself but for her,

      your marriage, and your family, she will again work with you.

    • ➢  But as the leader and one responsible, you must know who you are as a man...
    • ➢  And that stems from Our Lord!
  • ❖  Four – The husband in most cases is a bad lover and inadequate at intimacy inside and outside the bedroom. Which means he does not understand how to get rid of the pain, trauma, and inhibitions in his wife’s life. Causing a loss of emotional closeness in his marriage

   

  ➢ Intimacy is the second most important things in marriage besides prayer.
  ➢ Intimacy is what keeps the bond strong.
  ➢ It gives both of you that warm feeling you need to keep the emotional closeness going.
